Getting to Know the DVCR Team – Part 3

Posted:  DVC Rentals Educational

Happy New Year, friends! It’s time for the third and penultimate installment of our Getting to Know the DVCR Team blog series! In this entry, you will meet eight more unique and fantastic team members, some of whom have been with David’s Vacation Club Rentals since 2009!

Team Members celebrating the holidays

Without further ado, it’s my pleasure to introduce Tiffany, Victoria, Mya, Taleah, Stephen, Debbie, Julian, and Kaitlyn!

Tiffany Thompson

Vacation Coordinator

Our fate lives within us; you only have to be brave enough to see it.

– Merida, Brave

Tiffany at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

When Tiffany joined our team in March 2022, she brought immense energy and a desire to learn everything she could to help make guests’ DVC and Disney dreams come true.

With her passion for all things Disney, it’s no surprise that visiting every Disney Resort and Park in the world is on the tip-top of Tiffany’s bucket list. From character greetings to unique dining experiences, there is much to enjoy at Disney, but I think Tiffany especially loves the rides. Even when a ride is a little scary, she thrives on challenging herself and ends up loving the attraction.

Tiffany also loves going to concerts, watching movies, and spending time with her friends and family. Her adorable bunny Buck frequently appears on our team’s “Furball Friday” thread, where we share photos of our pets to celebrate the end of another wonderful work week!

Here are a few of Tiffany’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas! The animals make this one-of-a-kind resort so magical!

Restaurant: Cheshire Cat Tail from the Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom

Disney Movie: Frozen and Frozen II because I just can’t “Let it Go!” Between the movie, the soundtrack, the incredible animation, and of course, Olaf, this is a movie that I can watch on repeat.

Character: Winnie the Pooh. This silly old bear knows that the most important things in life are the little things! He is so wise, and everything he says melts my heart.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

I love being a part of the magic! David’s is everything that I have ever wanted and looked for in a career but didn’t know was possible!

Tiffany’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Give it a try! Our team is here and dedicated to helping make the rental process as easy as possible for you. Have questions? Give us a call! We would be happy to talk you through our rental process.

Victoria Heine

Senior Vacation Coordinator

Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.

– Walt Disney

Victoria and her partner

From the day I started at David’s, I found two things to be true about Victoria. Firstly, she is a DVC Owner who loves traveling to Disney whenever possible. Secondly, she is Justin Bieber’s number one fan whose claim to fame is that she was born in the same hospital as this Canadian pop star, just two days apart.

In all seriousness, Victoria is one of the most genuine people I’ve met. She is always willing to help and never ceases to make me laugh. She loves playing sports and collecting sports cards. Victoria and I both collect Disney Pins featuring Marie from The Aristocats; we have been known to tag each other in sales posts for pins we don’t necessarily need but most definitely want to add to our collections.

Victoria and her family with Mickey Mouse

Something that I admire about Victoria is that even as a frequent visitor to Walt Disney World, she continues to be surprised by the ever-changing atmosphere and offerings at the Parks and Resorts. She is incredibly passionate about her friends and family and always has a story to share.

Victoria meeting Minnie Mouse

Here are a few of Victoria’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Disney’s Copper Creek Villas

Restaurant: Cinderella’s Royal Table, or anywhere you can get a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich

Disney Movie: The Lion King & Avatar

Character: Marie from The Aristocats because she is fantastic in every way

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

I truly love how inclusive the environment at David’s is! We are absolutely a small family!

Victoria’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Our process is a little different from if you were to book directly through Disney, so I recommend giving us a call to speak to one of our amazing team members if you have questions.

Mya-Lynne Lawrence

Vacation Coordinator & Social Media

“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together… there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.”

– Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh

Mya’s Winnie the Pooh Tattoo on her arm

When Mya was in high school, she was told that working a Disney job was unrealistic and that it would never happen for her – it was only a dream. However, when she went to college, she was accepted into the Disney College Program and worked at Walt Disney World! She then went on to work at The Disney Store and joined the team at DVCR in October 2021. She’s been helping make guests’ Disney and DVC dreams come true ever since!

I really admire Mya’s positive outlook and passion for the things and people she loves. She is always ready to greet you with the widest smile; it doesn’t matter how overcast the day or how busy she is.

Mya has a variety of interests, including watching anime series and movies, playing video games, traveling, and reading books and comics. She also has seven tattoos, four of which are inspired by Disney. She also has an adorable new kitten named King, whom I can never see enough adorable photos of.

Mya’s kitten King

Here are a few of Mya’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Restaurant: 1900 Park Fare

Disney Movie: Lion King II: Simba’s Pride is my favorite Disney movie. I love the songs and the message that you are the only person who can decide what you want to do with your life and who you want to be a part of it.

Character: Minnie Mouse. I love her bubbly personality and how she is always happy to help her friends! Also, my nickname is Minnie because of how short I am.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

I really like how everyone on the team feels like family, how welcoming everyone is, and how eager they are to lend a hand. The team knows how to have fun while we work, and connecting about our shared interests is nice.

Mya’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Check out our Cost Calculator to compare prices for the different DVC Resorts. The price on the Cost Calculator is the overall price for the number of nights you will be staying at the resort.

Taleah Jensen

Team Leader

Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!

– Mike Wazowski, Monster’s Inc.

Taleah wearing Minnie ears

Taleah is an avid record collector and a frequent thrift-store shopper with an “expert eye” for unique pieces. With a passion for painting, silk screening, drawing, and building things, Taleah is quite artistic! Her hidden talent, though she rarely uses it, is that she has perfect pitch.

As exemplified by her completion of the Tough Mudder run in 2019, Taleah also enjoys challenging herself physically. She tries to integrate exercise into her daily routine, whether weightlifting or a fun dance tutorial online – anything to get her body moving. Taleah used to be a competitive cheerleader and still has a great love for the sport.

Something that I admire about Taleah is her eagerness to learn and set aspirations. When she joined DVCR in March 2020, I remember her telling me her goal was to become a Team Leader someday. Taleah stayed true to that goal and has recently become one of our new Team Leaders. I’m excited to see how she continues to grow in this role and share her passion with her team!

Here are a few of Taleah’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Disney’s Copper Creek Villas & Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

Restaurant: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor or the Bread Service at Sanaa

Disney Movie: Oh man! I’d have to say Up because it’s a very special movie to my husband and me, or any of the early animated movies, as those were something my sister and I regularly watched together when we were kids and still do to this day!

Character: This one is hard for me. I’ve always had an affinity for Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but I would have to say Maximus from Tangled; he just reminds me so much of my dog.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

It’s the culture for me. Everyone here truly cares about helping people, which is fostered within our workplace community. Being a part of David’s is a joy. I love that we can bring happiness to so many people and am always delighted at seeing the feedback from DVC Owners and guests that are truly thankful for our service; it never fails to make me feel good!

Taleah’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Be curious! It’s okay if you feel nervous. We are all well-versed in what we do and are always happy to answer any questions you have.

Stephen Schlueter

Web Programmer & Social Media

Nothing can ever be broken that we can’t fix together.

– Mirabel, Encanto

Stephen standing in front of R2-D2 AND C-3PO statues

Starting in September 2009, Stephen remembers DVCR’s early days and offers a unique perspective on the company and how much we’ve grown over the years. Chatting with Stephen in the break room while he makes his tea (and I grab my third Diet Coke of the day) is always a treat. I love how diverse his interests are and how much knowledge he has to share!

Stephen’s cat

Stephen has created many web programs for DVCR and art for promotions like newsletter specials, holiday shirts, and greeting cards. Unsurprisingly, Stephen loves drawing and using pencils, pens, and ink. An aspiration for him has been to write a novel or create a graphic novel; he’s already written some great blogs for DVCR about his first trip to Walt Disney World last year and the Tower of Terror

In his own words, Stephen has “been here a long time” but is continuously surprised by how dedicated and passionate everyone is at DVCR. He learns so much just from talking with other team members. With his breadth of knowledge on so many subjects, like Studio Ghibli movies and his tabby cat Zelda, I’d say that we all learn quite a bit from Stephen, too!

Stephen’s Game Console Collection

Here are a few of Stephen’s favorite things:

 DVC Resort: Disney’s Riviera Resort

Restaurant: Zanzibari Vegetable Curry with Chicken from Sanaa

Disney Movie: Just one? Probably Wreck-It Ralph. It’s like Toy Story, but with video games. It’s one of my go-to movies when I just want something fun.

Character: Dipper and Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls. I love their dynamic. It’s as if Mulder and Scully from The X-Files had a sense of humor.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

I love the creative side of things, whether it’s creating for social media or finding technical solutions for things. I’ve been here a long time, but I continue to be surprised by how dedicated and passionate everyone is here at DVCR. I’ve learned so much from just talking with my coworkers.

Stephen’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Always ask every question you have. It’s important to feel comfortable before you go ahead with a reservation.

Debbie Heath

Lead Vacation Coordinator & Cruise Specialist

If you can dream it, you can do it.”

– Walt Disney

Debbie and her partner Doug at Magic Kingdom

As anyone who has corresponded with Debbie knows, she is an absolute delight. As a DVC Owner, Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, and Platinum Castaway Club Member, Debbie has a wealth of Disney knowledge. She is there to help and always has a fun anecdote ready from one of her trips to help explain the task at hand. Debbie also enjoys karaoke, wordsmithing, and making stain glass artwork.

The first time Debbie visited Walt Disney World was as a young girl, shortly after it opened in 1971, and she immediately fell in love with the allure of Magic Kingdom. She’s continued to visit on a regular basis ever since and has lost count of how many magical trips she’s taken.

Debbie usually travels with her husband Doug, and also enjoys sharing Disney adventures with the rest of her family. I had the pleasure of meeting some of Debbie’s children and grandchildren at Steakhouse 71; it looked like they were having an amazing trip, and I could tell just how proud Debbie was of them.

Debbie and her partner Doug sitting on the Beach

Here are a few of Debbie’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Restaurant: Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village

Disney Movie: Jungle Book because the characters and music are awesome, especially Baloo and “The Bare Necessities.”

Character: Minnie Mouse – I just think that she is so cute. I even named my dog after Minnie.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

David’s Vacation Club Rentals is the leader in a small and unique industry, Disney Vacation Club point rentals. I am honored to be able to work for David’s, as it is the oldest, largest, and most trusted company for DVC rentals in the world. We have a wonderful team of people that provide an amazing level of service and enjoy going the extra mile to give the best customer service.

Debbie’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Rest assured that David’s is well-established, secure, and professional. We will make your point rental experience as straightforward and pleasant as possible.

Julian Boudreau

Vacation Coordinator

Yeah, I’ve got time.

– Mr. Incredible, The Incredibles

Julian and his partner Vanessa standing on a Mountain

Ever since Julian began at DVCR in March 2022, I feel like I have consistently learned something new about him. He plays classical, electric, and acoustic guitar; he also collects and trades guitars. He loves sewing and fashion – specifically men’s suiting. With almost 300 fragrance bottles in his collection, Julian appreciates the depth and impact a scent can have and has made it a hobby to experience and acquire new scents. He is also an “intense” cook, citing his love for perfection and wanting to make people smile as their palates light up. The list truly goes on & on!

It’s very important to Julian to keep his body moving, and he enjoys activities like weightlifting. He is always looking to challenge and improve himself. Indeed, one of his proudest moments was completing a half-marathon, and he found the experience incredibly humbling. Julian also loves to hike and immerse himself in nature. Traveling to new places and meeting new people with his girlfriend by his side is also a passion.

One thing that stands out to me about Julian is his optimism. I smiled when reading his submission for the blog series and want to share this sentiment with everyone:

“Remember to slow down every now and then (advice I could use) and really appreciate what we have. There is so much complexity to life. We do not need to be the best at everything. What makes you special is that we all have our own talents and ideas.”

Here are a few of Julian’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa

Restaurant: Wherever you can find Dole Whip!

Disney Movie: Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – as a kid, this was my favorite Star Wars film, and it still holds true to this day!

Character: Mr. Incredible. I like to think that I’m as strong as him! However, what resonates heavily with me and the quality I love most is that no matter how strong you are, you always need your family and partner to be truly incredible.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

The best thing about working at David’s is that I get to work in the “happiness industry” every day. Whether it’s helping families with planning a yearly getaway, those returning after years to share new memories with their kids, or those excited to go for the very first time. Our guests’ kind comments go a long way and are very special.

Julian’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

If you have your heart set on a particular resort, I would recommend to plan, plan, plan. You can never have too much preparation when it comes to starting any vacation. If you are looking for the best openings for availability, I would suggest starting the conversation about a year in advance and submitting your reservation request form up to 11 months in advance. We have a great When to Book guide on our website that breaks down all the DVC resorts and when is best to submit your form.

Kaitlyn Pressault

Vacation Coordinator

You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

– Christopher Robbin, Winnie the Pooh

Kaitlyn standing in front of R2-D2 AND C-3PO statues

One of my favorite things about Kaitlyn is how much she brightens when you ask her about something she’s passionate about. Whether it’s the latest Oscar Isaac film, Marvel series, or her experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Kaitlyn is ready with animated recounting and truly unique insight.

Kaitlyn with a Porg on her arm

Kaitlyn’s spark and personality are things I’ve admired about her since she joined the team in May 2021. With her love of theatre and reading and writing short stories, she is exceptionally creative. She also enjoys divination and Tarot Reading and boasts a very large Crystal collection that includes necklaces, bracelets, and decorations.

Here are a few of Kaitlyn’s favorite things:

DVC Resort: Disney’s Bay Lake Tower

Restaurant: Olivia’s Café at Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Disney Movie: Atlantis

Character: Stitch, because he’s adorable, and I love his relationship with Lilo. Even though they can’t communicate well, they still form the best bond and family.

What do you like most about working at DVCR?

My favorite thing about working at David’s is the family environment. Even when we work remotely, I still feel connected and heard by everyone, and I know that I have the whole team to back me up if I ever need anything.

Kaitlyn’s #1 Tip for Renting DVC Points:

Ask questions! It’s best to ask questions and learn everything you can about the process, so you understand the steps taken to secure your DVC reservation.
