Resorts of the Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Tour

Recently, I was lucky enough to go on the Adventures by Disney 7-day / 6- night Costa Rica tour to the areas of San José, Caño Negro, Arenal Volcano, and Guanacaste.

We stayed at three gorgeous hotels on our trip, each one of them different from the other two: Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen, Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa, and El Mangroove Hotel.

Typically, prior to any travel, I research the places that I will be staying at, but with this adventure, I chose not to do that, so I could experience them completely in person. I only knew their locations and how long we would be staying at each place. As we arrived at each hotel, it was my first exposure to them, and I was very pleasantly pleased each and every time.

The first hotel that we stayed at, the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen, is conveniently located in the Heredia Province, only a 10-minute drive from the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), which is in the Alajuela Province.

This impressive hotel has a historic Spanish Colonial design and is set on a 30-acre coffee plantation. It features two outdoor swimming pools, a garden hot tub, a golf driving range, and a full-service spa.

Our room had a great view of the surrounding mountains, overlooking the driving range fairway.

As part of this Adventures by Disney Costa Rica trip, we were to stay at the first hotel, Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen, for one night. However, we chose to fly in one day early and stay there for two nights. We did this mostly for better flight schedules and pricing, but I would highly recommend doing this. Coming in one day early made our first day so much more relaxing, as we were able to start the day well rested rather than tired from a day of travel.

The second hotel that we stayed at was the Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa, and it is located on 7 acres of lush rolling hills near the small town of La Fortuna in the Alajuela Province.

It is a fabulous hotel with very large suites that includes a full-size hot tub in the room, and each suite with a stunning panoramic view of the nearby Arenal volcano.

It was so surreal waking up to this incredible view every morning, not to mention all of the amazing natural flora and fauna that was abundant throughout this property. Guests of this hotel are welcome to enjoy several onsite hot spring pools filled with natural thermal waters. Starting at the top of hot spring pools, the first one was the hottest, and each pool down from there was a bit lower temperature.

We stayed at the Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa for nights two to four of the adventure.

The last (and certainly not the least) hotel that we stayed at, the El Mangroove Hotel, is a beachfront property in Panama Bay, waters of the Pacific Ocean, in the Guanacaste Province. This hotel is approximately a 25-minute drive to Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR).

This beautiful hotel is named for the tropical mangrove forest that it is set in, and each room only steps away from several pools and the beach, which boasts incredible sunsets.

We stayed at the El Mangroove Hotel for nights five and six.

Each of these three awesome hotels are rated 4.5+ stars, and in my opinion, Disney has selected three exceptional hotels for this Costa Rica adventure.
