Disney’s Old Key West: Welcome to the Keys
With serenity at the tips of your fingers: Disney’s Old Key West offers complete tranquillity when staying at this resort.
As soon as you make your way onto this property, you will cross over to tall palm trees, soothing pastel colors of the Conch Flats, and find a true sense of home. With lots of amenities to enjoy on the property, guests have an opportunity to get a feel for the Florida Keys, with casual dining options, various guest activities, and of course, the pools, which are great for making memories with friends and family.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, you would have hopefully had the experience of dipping your toes into one of the pools on the property.
Every pool on the property is an all-ages pool, and each pool area has a whirlpool spa. Depending on which area your room is located in, some pools will be closer than others! Let’s take a further look and dive in!
I will start with our three leisure pools; the first one is located in the Old Turtle Pond Road area. You can sit back by the pool, play some shuffleboard, barbeque, or even enjoy something to eat from the Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks: Snack Bar. If you have kids with you and are looking for a fun play area, there is a great playground close to this pool for kids to enjoy!
The Millers Road Pool is located near the Millers Road area and is great for guests to enjoy some sun. They have barbeques nearby as well as a hot tub beside the pool. Unlike the other pool areas at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, this pool area does not have a playground for children.
In the South Point Area, you can find the South Point Road Pool! This pool, like the others, offers calming areas for guests to lounge in, a hot tub, a playground area, and barbecues and picnic tables for guests to gather!
The main pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort is the Sandcastle Pool.
This pool features an enormous sandcastle slide with a hidden mickey at the mouth of the slide! With sunny and shaded spots for guests to relax, you’ll feel like you are in the keys.
Beyond the sandcastle, you can find a large sandy kids’ play area, a hot tub, and a sauna inside the lighthouse itself!
Also located close to this pool area is the tennis court, volleyball court, another shuffleboard area, as well as a beautiful fire pit for guests to cozy up next to!
If you are looking for a resort with lots of pool options for your family as well as other recreational activities located close by, Disney’s Old Key West is a fantastic option! You can soak up all the sun, cool off in the pool, or get the family together for a fun activity!
