5 Regal Reasons to Sail with Royal Caribbean!

Posted:  Cruises Royal Caribbean Cruise Line

Royal Caribbean has become a very popular option for those booking cruises with our team here at David’s, and it comes as no surprise! There are many reasons to love this cruise line, so I thought it would be fun to dive into a few of those reasons here. Let’s count down what I believe are the top 5 reasons you should sail with Royal Caribbean!

Number 5 – The Fleet!

Did you know that Royal Caribbean has more than 25 ships in their fleet?! That is a BIG number when it comes to cruising, and more ships are on the way! Royal Caribbean is also the proud owner of the largest cruise ship in the world, as well as smaller ships and some that fall in the middle size-wise. This means that you have a lot of variety in your cruising options and can easily select a ship that suits your personal preferences.

Some travelers prefer the recent and biggest ships with all the newest bells and whistles, while others would rather sail on a smaller ship that is easy to navigate and offers a more low-key vacation experience. Either way, Royal Caribbean has a ship that will suit your needs!

Many of the ships in Royal’s fleet feature waterslides, floor-to-ceiling glass viewing areas, multiple dining locations covering a range of different cuisines, performance venues, nightclubs, and many more fantastic amenities. The ships are designed with all different types of travelers in mind, so there is something onboard for everyone, regardless of your age and interests. For example, thrill seekers can check out the zipline or FlowRider surf simulator, and chill seekers can lounge by the pool in the Solarium or enjoy a relaxing massage at the spa. Even the little cruisers in the family have their own hangout spots and will surely have a blast at the Adventure Ocean youth programs! Royal Caribbean’s well-rounded fleet makes it easy and convenient to plan the vacation everyone dreams of.

Number 4 – Onboard Entertainment!

Speaking of things to do, Royal Caribbean thinks outside the box for their onboard entertainment! Want to see a world-class ice skating show during your cruise? You can find that on some of Royal’s ships! Dreaming of a high-diving aquatic spectacular? Check out the AquaDome shows that amaze viewers on select ships!

Along with the productions in their more unique onboard venues, Royal’s fleet also features traditional stage shows. Some ships boast Broadway hits like Cats, Grease, Hairspray, and Mamma Mia! There are also original productions with lively musical performances by incredibly talented casts that are sure to knock your socks off!

In addition to staged shows, Royal Caribbean hosts a variety of other entertainment and activities on their ships, and you’ll never be bored! From live music to dance lessons and deck parties to cooking classes, there is always something to do, see, and participate in during your sailing. There are game shows, contests, trivia, movies, stand-up comedians, and more to pack your time on the ship as full of fun as possible!

Number 3 – Crown & Anchor Society!

Crown & Anchor Society is Royal Caribbean’s loyalty program, and it is loaded with perks! Most guests will be auto-enrolled once their first sailing has been completed, and points are earned for each night you sail. Not to mention, guests who book a Suite get double the points!

As you earn more points and climb the Crown & Anchor levels, tons of awesome perks await you! Benefits for Crown & Anchor Society members include discounts or even free drinks, specialty dining, bingo cards, casino plays, stateroom services, internet packages, and more!

The first tier in the program is Gold, which is reached with just 3 Crown & Anchor Society points and already gets you a 10% discount on a Voom internet package that’s purchased onboard, as well as on select drinks and spa services. The top tier of the program is the Pinnacle Club, and guests sailing with Pinnacle Club status are eligible for perks such as 40% off deluxe beverage packages, six complimentary drinks per day, 20% off services at the spa, and more!

Number 2 – The itineraries!

Of course, you hear “Royal Caribbean,” and you think of islands, sunshine, and turquoise waters, but this cruise line sails to more than 300 destinations. Oceans make up over 70% of the earth’s surface, which means cruise ships have a lot of waterways to cover, and Royal Caribbean is up for the challenge!

There are sailings through the historical sights of Europe, the stunning wilderness vistas of Alaska, and the ancient temples and landmarks of Asia. You’ll also find itineraries that island-hop through the South Pacific and Caribbean regions, sail across entire oceans on Transatlantic and Transpacific cruises, and explore the exotic cultures of South America and the Arabian Gulf. If you want to see a little bit of everything, they even have a 274-night Ultimate World Cruise that visits over 60 countries!

Personally, one of the things I love most about cruising is how you can visit multiple places, enjoy the best they have to offer, and only have to unpack your stuff once! There’s no need to change hotels as you venture from place to place, no having to wrangle your luggage as you explore, and you can travel comfortably between different ports in style. It’s an amazing way to see the world with less hassle and more convenience, and the immense amount of choice in places to visit and itineraries to enjoy makes it easy to check off all the boxes on your travel wish list!

Number 1 – The Price Point!

To me, the icing on the top of an already awesome cake is Royal Caribbean’s pricing. Though pricing can vary depending on your chosen destination, room type, sail date, and party size, the cost for Royal’s sailings are often noticeably lower than some other cruise lines, making it a little more budget-friendly, especially for larger parties, families, and solo travelers. I know I am quick to forget my budget when my brain gets into vacation mode, so having rates that are a little more cost-effective can help ensure you don’t break the bank before you even leave home.

Of course, there are add-ons, such as drink packages and port excursions, you can choose to purchase. However, these are totally optional, and Royal Caribbean often offers promotions that help lower those costs as well. Most dining, activities, and entertainment are included in the price of your cruise fare, which helps cut down on some out-of-pocket expenses once you’re onboard and enjoying your time away.

It should also be said that a lower price doesn’t mean lower standards! Royal Caribbean is an award-winning cruise line with fantastic service, incredible ships, and jaw-dropping amenities. This, combined with their wallet-friendly rates, has gained them a fiercely loyal fan base and a fabulous reputation!

Now, these are just five of the reasons why I think Royal Caribbean is a great vacation choice, but there are many, many more. From ship to shore and back again, there are so many ways this cruise line will dazzle, delight, and definitely inspire you to keep daydreaming about the next time you can get back onboard!
