Exploring the Grounds of My Top Three DVC Resorts

Posted:  Freebies Recreation Resorts

When staying at one of Walt Disney World’s DVC Resorts, have you ever stopped to look at the gardens and explore the property’s grounds? If not, this is something I highly recommend taking a moment to enjoy. Every resort is themed right down to the landscaping at each resort, and it engulfs guests in the atmosphere.

Each resort has its own Disney touch, and I genuinely love all of them. However, if I were to choose my top three DVC resorts for their landscaping, they would be; Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, Boulder Ridge Villas & Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and last but not least is, Disney’s Riviera Resort.

In my eyes, these three resorts have some of the most beautiful grounds on Disney property and have lots of sights, smells, and sounds for guests to indulge in when taking a stroll.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is a true oasis for guests when you step onto the grounds. This resort brings the spirit of the South Pacific with its tropical plants, and as soon as you walk inside, you are welcomed by a stunning garden with tall palm trees, flowing waterfalls, and bright, bold colors.

Some of my favorite plants at Disney’s Polynesian Villas would be the Bromeliads, with their sharp corners and florescent colorings, giving a perfect tropical touch!

The second choice is a combination of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

These two resorts share the same common grounds and have stunning views for guests to relish! You can soak up the wilderness in all its glory when walking around these properties.   With tall grassy areas and high swaying trees, this resort brings the pioneering heritage of the Pacific Northwest.

You will find wooded trails surrounded by wooded greenery, picturesque lakeside views, and even an erupting geyser! These resorts will give guests that natural rustic beauty when they explore the area. I love the wilderness, and these resorts always make me feel so at home when visiting! I love the trickling springs, the mossy gardens, and the topiaries specifically designed for this resort to truly bring out the wilderness!

Lastly, my number one favorite garden to explore would be Disney’s Riviera Resort. This resort is stunning to me from every aspect! Arriving at the property, you’re greeted with a palm-tree-lined boulevard and all its pure elegance.

This resort is designed to capture all of Europe’s magic with its grand archways, beautiful murals, and pristine gardens. You can find bubbling fountains, calming waterfronts, and one of the most beautiful, lush gardens on Disney property.

If you have never taken a walk around the different resorts, I suggest adding it to your “must-dos” on a future trip. This is one of my favorite things to do after a long day.

You can soak up all the wonderful landscaping Disney provides its guests, and some of my favorite memories from Disney are taking some scenic strolls with some of my favorite people!
