DVC Pool Day
As you gear up for your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure, consider setting aside a day or two to fully relax and savor your resort’s amenities. If you’re anything like me, spending an entire day luxuriating and recharging by the pool can be the perfect way to enhance your overall vacation experience – soaking up the sun, diving into a good book, and admiring the scenic views while taking refreshing dips in the water.
Let’s dive into the various resort pools, each with unique themes and offerings!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas
Whether you’re staying at Jambo House or Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, you’re welcome to enjoy the pool amenities on both sides of the resort, enhancing your stay with diverse recreational options!
Jambo House is home to the Uzima Springs Pool, an expansive 11,000-square-foot tropical oasis that overlooks the Uzima Savanna. Guests can unwind poolside while taking in views of the savanna’s wildlife, or they can opt for a splash of adventure with the 67-foot-long waterslide. The nearby Uzima Springs Pool Bar is the perfect spot to grab a refreshing beverage and relax in the vibrant atmosphere.
At Kidani Village, guests will find the Samawati Springs Pool, a 4,700-square-foot retreat complete with a zero-depth entry. Surrounded by lush palm trees, the pool provides a serene setting for relaxation. The highlight is its 128-foot waterslide, which offers an exhilarating experience for guests of all ages.
Children can also explore Uwanja Camp at Kidani, an interactive water playground with three distinct zones designed for different age groups. Kidani Village also features the Maji Pool Bar, named after the Swahili word for “water.”
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
At Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests can indulge in three distinctive pool experiences, each offering its own charm.
The Bay Cove Pool, nestled between Bay Lake Tower and the picturesque Bay Lake, features an exhilarating 148-foot waterslide and zero-depth entry. Exclusively available to Bay Lake Tower guests and Disney Vacation Club members, this pool area ensures a more private and tranquil atmosphere. For those needing refreshments, the adjacent Cove Bar serves beverages and light bites.
Guests can also take a short walk over to the Main Pool and Bay Lake Pool, both located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
Disney’s Beach Club Villas
While it’s currently undergoing refurbishment (expected to wrap up later this summer), Stormalong Bay is renowned as a top choice among Disney Vacation Club pools! This unique pool features a distinctive sand-bottom design, providing an experience unlike any other and is exclusive to guests staying at Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts.
One of its standout features is the thrilling waterslide, among the tallest at any WDW Resort hotel. The slide begins at the mast of a life-sized shipwreck replica, adding an adventurous touch. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing float down the lazy river, unwind in one of the three whirlpool spas, or soak up the sun on the elevated tanning deck.
For younger guests, Stormalong Bay offers a gently sloping, sandy beach area at the main pool, where children can wade into the water or enjoy the Shipwreck Pool, complete with a miniature waterslide designed just for them.
In addition to Stormalong Bay, guests of Disney’s Beach Club Villas have access to three serene leisure pools. The Dunes Cove Pool is nestled right next to the DVC building, and all 3 leisure pools also feature whirlpool spas for added relaxation.
For refreshments, Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill is conveniently located near Stormalong Bay, while Beaches & Cream Soda Shop offers a delightful selection of ice cream treats, perfect for cooling off on a warm day.

With a 200-foot-long waterslide, this pool remains a popular favorite among guests of all ages, providing endless fun and excitement.
Another inviting option is the Community Hall Pool, conveniently situated near the DVC portion of the resort and the resort’s Community Hall. This relaxing pool provides easy access to swimming and other activities, offering guests a perfect place to unwind without needing to venture far.
One of my favorite poolside spots is Leaping Horse Libations, a delightful pool bar with a charming carousel-themed exterior. Its whimsical design adds an extra layer of fun to the experience!
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The main pool at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the exquisite Beach Pool, offers a serene setting just steps from the pristine white sands of Seven Seas Lagoon.
Guests can enjoy the excitement of a 181-foot-long waterslide that winds gracefully down before splashing into the refreshing pool. The poolside lounge chairs provide a perfect spot to sunbathe, while luxurious cabanas offer enhanced relaxation. The Beach Pool features a gently sloped, beach-inspired entry and a playful water area for younger guests.
For a more tranquil experience, the Courtyard Pool offers a quiet retreat for all ages and has a soothing whirlpool spa.
One of the highlights for families is the Alice in Wonderland-themed water play area just beyond the Beach Pool. With whimsical features like a teapot pouring water into teacups and the Mad Hatter’s hat, it’s a delightful spot for children to splash and play.
During your visit, be sure to stop by the Beaches Pool Bar & Grill for refreshing beverages and delicious snacks!

The Sandcastle Pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort showcases a delightful 125-foot waterslide that winds through a giant sandcastle. It truly captures the relaxed, breezy essence of the Florida Keys.

The Grandstand Pool and Congress Park Pool both offer peaceful settings, perfect for quiet relaxation and leisurely swims. Guests staying at the Treehouse Villas will also find a quiet pool and whirlpool spa in that section of the resort.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Guests staying at the Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have a couple of great pools to enjoy during their stay, each with some magical theming.
The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool features cozy lounge chairs and rustic decor inspired by the resort’s 1860s railroad theme. Guests can relax in the whirlpool spa, take a refreshing dip in the zero-depth entry pool, or enjoy one of six shaded seating areas, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Copper Creek Springs Pool is seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. Its exhilarating 67-foot waterslide, carved into rocky terrain, adds a sense of adventure!
Geyser Point Bar & Grill, a dining gem offering stunning views of the resort and Bay Lake, is conveniently located near both pools.
