Dare to Dream: My Top 5 DVC Resorts
When I think of Disney, so many things come to mind; however, the one memory that shines brighter; is that Disney can make your dreams come true, and these dreams became a wish list for me!
When I was younger, I would wonder about all the things you could do at Disney, and from there, my Disney wish list got bigger and bigger. Fast forward years later, and I still find myself dreaming; You can be pixie-dusted and become a princess, travel to another land, enjoy foods from all around the world, and even live like you’re a movie star.
I have had the experience of going back to Disney since being a child, and let me say I fell in love all over again. This time it was not with the magic inside the parks because, lets be honest, that never goes away, but the magic inside the resorts themselves. When I was a child, I remember seeing Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for the first time and thinking to myself, “WOW.” I was in pure amazement.
Disney has made dreams possible for all guests and I believe every guest has an opportunity to live this out in a DVC Resort. With so many to choose from, I decided I would choose five of my dare to dream resorts, and I will tell you why these are all so magnificent to me.
#5 Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House and Kidani Village
Animals, Artifacts, and lots of bright and bold colors are the main reasons I love this resort. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is grand in all its ways! Its high rooftops and articulate design make for a big welcome home when you walk through those front doors. I love this resort for its authentic beauty and its traditional African style. When you’re checking in, be sure to check out the artifacts in the lobby and around the resort; they have lots of history and culture you can learn about.
Last but not least, I can’t forget the fact that the outdoor savannah holds over 200 wild animals! You can walk out to the savannah to get a better view and learn a few things about the animals.
This resort is absolutely beautiful and always has me gazing in awe.
#4 Disney’s Bay Lake Tower
Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is another Resort on my wish list! I love this resort because of the walking distance to Magic Kingdom, the breathtaking views, and the fact that it is connected to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Disney’s Bay Lake Tower has lots of fun things for guests to do on the property when hanging out at the resort; however, say you changed your mind last minute and wanted to hit the park, Magic Kingdom is roughly a 10 minute walk, which makes this ideal for me.
Its breathtaking views of the castle, shimmering views of the lake, and luxurious views of the courtyard will not disappoint. You can dine, shop, or just explore and find your way over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which I find pretty cool when you get to walk over on a Skye Bridge on the 5th floor.
#3 Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is next on the docket for me! I am dying to stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, specifically in a Preferred Area. This resort is such a large resort with lots of things that feel like home; greenery, trails, and fountains are some of the things that make me feel relaxed; however, my favorite part of Saratoga Springs Resort is the fact that it is within walking distance to Disney Springs. I love to shop, eat, and enjoy a night out; this is the spot for me!
#2 The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is number two on my wish list as I remember this resort vividly from when I was a child. This resort was so magical to me when I first laid eyes on it; I never forgot the sight of it! When I went back to Disney as an adult, we decided to visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, dine-in, and look around the resort. This Victorian-themed resort is stunning with its elegance; I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to stay here!

#1 Disney’s Riviera Resort
Coming in at the top of my wish list would be Disney’s Riviera Resort. Its artwork, delectable dining options, the complete Mediterranean theme, it’s fun activities outdoors, its stunning pools, and the fact that Disney’s Skyliner is a source of transportation; making this an absolute must for me!
I had the opportunity to visit this stunning new resort last year, and I fell in love. We enjoyed breakfast at Toppolino’s Terrace, grabbed a warm beverage from Le Petit Café, were able to ride the Skyliner, were able to check out some of the breathtaking artwork, all while soaking up its European atmosphere.
I can only dream of what it would be like to stay at this resort, but I was lucky enough to see it for what it is, Phenomenal.
Victorian, Modern, Luxury, Cozy, Authentic can all be found for your stay in Disney, and all of these resorts offer each guest their sense of home, while each of them is bursting with Disney Magic. I could name off all of the DVC resorts for my wish list because they are all truly unique in their way; however, if I were to choose, you now know my go-to’s.
