Are you thinking about staying at Disney’s Beach Club Villas on your next trip to Walt Disney World? This DVC Resort is incredibly popular, has phenomenal amenities, and is within walking distance to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Here’s an overview of the resort to help you decide if the Beach Club Villas are right for your next stay!

Rooms

Disney’s Beach Club Villas offers Studios, One Bedrooms, and Two Bedrooms for guests to choose from. This means there are rooms for families of all sizes. The Studios are perfect for a small family, offering a queen-size bed, a double-size pullout sleeper sofa, a bunk-size pulldown bed, and a kitchenette.

The One Bedrooms and Two Bedrooms both offer full kitchens and in-suite laundry, making your stay super convenient with everything you need right in your room!

Inside the rooms, the blue and white color scheme makes the room feel so calm, while the accents give the room a beachy vibe to match the resort. Even Donald is relaxing by the beach in the mural behind the pulldown bunk! This is the perfect room to relax in after a day at the parks!

Dining

The dining options at Disney’s Beach Club Villas are fabulous! The Beach Club offers two quick service options for guests to enjoy. Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is the poolside bar, offering easy eats for relaxing by Stormalong Bay. Alongside frosty beverages, guests can choose from delicious sandwiches and salads to enjoy for lunch or dinner.

Inside the main building of the resort, Beach Club Marketplace is offering hot and fresh quick service meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With classic favorites like the Bounty Breakfast Platter, the Beach Club Marketplace also provides guests with savory sandwiches and baked pasta. Also, here guests can get quick grab-and-go snacks to take with them to the parks.

As for table service options, the Beach Club offers the fan-favorite Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

This restaurant is themed after a classic ice cream parlor, featuring classic tunes on a jukebox and beautiful Disney-inspired art, adding to the nostalgic feel. Guest favorites include the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup and the Reuben Sandwich.

However, the real star here is the ice cream!

My personal favorite is the No Way José, which is a peanut butter and hot fudge sundae. It is so decadent and perfect on a hot Florida day! However, if you and your family are looking for a bit of a challenge, the Kitchen Sink may be right up your alley. Comfortably serving four people, this massive sundae has eight scoops of ice cream, topped with every single ice cream topping in the shop and an entire can of whipped cream! While not for the faint of heart, it is a great option to share with a large group!

While not currently open, the Beach Club also offers a buffet table service called Cape May Cafe. The dinner buffet offers delicious seafood for guests to enjoy, and the breakfast buffet is a Character Breakfast, with Minnie, Donald, and Goofy in their fun Beach Wear! We look forward to when this restaurant is back open for everyone to enjoy!

Transportation

Disney’s Beach Club Villas offers multiple transportation options, making traveling around Walt Disney World so convenient! As mentioned, guests can access both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios by a walking path. While the walk to Epcot is a quick 5 minute walk to the International Gateway Entrance, the walk to Hollywood Studios is a bit longer at about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on how fast you walk.

If the walk to Hollywood Studios is a bit too long for the little ones in your party, or just difficult at the end of a long day at the parks, you can take the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to the International Gateway to Epcot or a boat from Hollywood Studios back to your resort.

To all of the other parks, bus transportation is offered for guests to grab at the front of the resort!

Recreation and Amenities

The big draw to Disney’s Beach Club Villas is Stormalong Bay. This 3 acre sand-bottom pool is unlike any other pool on Walt Disney World property!

This pool is a huge draw for everyone staying at the Beach Club, and for many different reasons. Some love the sand bottom pool, while others love the lazy river. However, my favorite part of Stormalong Bay is the life-sized shipwreck slide! At 230-feet long, this slide starts outside of the pool area and winds above the sidewalk and the heads of everyone walking by before plunging into the pool. It is definitely worth trying at least once!

Are you looking for something a bit more tranquil? With 2 leisure pools at the Beach Club, there is always a fabulous place to relax and soak in the sun away from the hustle of Stormalong Bay!

Similar to other DVC resorts, Beach Club offers sports courts for guests to use! The Beach Club offers guests both a tennis court and a volleyball court to use. Complimentary equipment is available from Ship Shape Massage and Salon Fitness for all guests, so you don’t need to worry about traveling with your volleyballs or tennis racquets. The Beach Club also offers multiple jogging paths, including one that takes you all the way around Crescent Lake. This is a great way to take in the views of the water and all of the surrounding resorts!

The resort also has Movies Under the Stars, which is such a fun way to watch a classic Disney movie! Definitely worth checking with about what movies are being offered during your stay.

Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness is the fitness center available for guests at Disney’s Beach Club Villas to use. While it is not currently being offered, Ship Shape is also a full-service spa and salon with services for men, women, and children.  I look forward to when their Spa services reopen again in the future.
