A Journey Through Our 2025 Adventures!

Greetings and salutations, my fellow travelers!

Now that we’re all settled into 2025, most of us have our travel plans for the year underway. I decided to check around with the rest of the Social Media team here at David’s Vacation Club Rentals to see what we experienced for the first time and what we’re excited about for future adventures as we get into the second half of the year. It’s a year for new resort stays, cruise trips, and so much more for our team!

A circular blue sign on a silver pillar in front of the entry to Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort reads “Welcome Home Disney Vacation Club Members”.

The red funnel of the Disney Dream is seen under a blue sky. The funnel is adorned with a white Mickey Mouse symbol and blue wavy lines, the logo of Disney Cruise Line, and in front of it are the three yellow and white tubular horn speakers of the ship.

Here are some of the exciting new experiences and plans we have in store as 2025 continues!

Mya:

In 2025, I was absolutely thrilled to embark on my very first Disney Cruise, an experience that had been on my bucket list for years. For the longest time, it felt like a distant dream—something I had always hoped for but never truly believed would become a reality. The moment I finally set sail on the Disney Fantasy, it was nothing short of magical.

The words “sailing away” are displayed on the large video screen on the red funnel of the Disney Fantasy cruise ship, as guests gather to celebrate the deck party that begins their cruise.

Sailing aboard this incredible ship was an unforgettable adventure, combining the signature Disney magic with the luxury and excitement of a cruise vacation. Experiencing Disney in an entirely new way—beyond the theme parks—was both refreshing and exhilarating. Every aspect of the journey felt special, from the immersive entertainment and world-class dining to the stunning ocean views and the attention to detail that Disney is known for.

The stage of the Walt Disney Theatre on the Disney Fantasy is set with the Arendelle backdrop for Frozen, A Musical Spectacular as audience members select their seats ahead of the Disney Cruise Line show.

This experience not only allowed me to see a different side of Disney magic but also introduced me to a whole new way of traveling. It was an incredible opportunity to step outside my usual Disney experiences and embrace something new, all while still feeling that unmistakable sense of wonder and enchantment. I can now say with certainty that a Disney Cruise is something every Disney fan should experience at least once—it’s a dream come true in every way!

The words “Disney Fantasy” are displayed in gold lettering on the large video screen on the funnel of the ship as the sun rises. The pool deck can be seen below, and the clear waterslide tubes can be seen on either side around the deck.

Stacy:

Something new I was excited to try at Walt Disney World in 2025 was a visit to Blizzard Beach Water Park! Though I have been to WDW countless times, I had never been to a water park before this year! With Disney’s new complimentary water park entry perk for resort guests on their check-in day, however, how could I not go?! In 2025, you can catch me speeding down the slopes on the slides, snacking on treats from Lottawatta Lodge, and maxing and relaxing in an inner tube on the Cross Country Creek lazy river!

Guests float down the Cross Country Creek lazy river in blue inner tubes at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park under a sunny sky.

As you can tell, I love being on the water, so I’m also excited about some new cruise adventures in 2025. I’ll be knocking an item off my bucket list later this summer, and I can’t wait to see the peaks of the mountains and gorgeous fjords of Norway! I also have dreams of checking out one of Disney’s new ships, such as the Treasure or the Destiny, in my mind! Who knows what I might still plan for later this year!

The bow of the Disney Dream travels towards the horizon as the sun rises over the ocean ahead.

Taycee:

The thing I am most excited to try in 2025 is the water parks! I haven’t been to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach since 2009. With the new perk of receiving free admission to the water park on the day of check-in, I will definitely be heading back.

The tall peak of Summit Plummet is seen under a blue sky at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. Other slides and the chairlift attraction can also be seen below.

I remember spending all day in the wave pool and chilling in the lazy river at both parks, but my favorite attraction was probably Gangplank Falls at Typhoon Lagoon. It was so much fun to zip down the mountain with my whole family in one raft! I can’t wait to head back this year!

The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is seen under a cloudy sky with Mount Mayday and the “Miss Tilly” visible in the distance beyond the wave pool.

Elyse:

For new things in 2025, I am SO excited to, first and foremost, stay at my dream resort, the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the first time! I’ve visited a few times now, but it’ll be such a cool experience to finally be a guest there and experience the ins and outs of the resort firsthand. I’m especially excited to try Geyser Point and Roaring Fork for the first time, as I have heard nothing but good things.

A sign reads “Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, a Disney Vacation Club Resort” above the covered wooden walkway to the villas building. Green foliage surrounds the walkway as the resort exterior is seen on the left and the Running Trail sign is seen on the right.

Keeping on the food train, I also want to try new offerings at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! I loved many of the items I tried last year, but there is SO MUCH to choose from, and I am super excited to check out some of the dishes I didn’t get around to or are new this year.

A hand holds a 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival passport booklet in front of signage for the park’s festival. The front of the booklet features drawings of characters from Ratatouille and landmarks from around World Showcase.

I also want to try a few rides I have not had the chance to experience yet, like Spaceship Earth, Star Tours, or the Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom! There is always something new and exciting to see on every Disney trip, so I can’t wait to see what my next one has in store!

Spaceship Earth at EPCOT is illuminated with orange, pink, and purple lights under a night sky as guests walk below past the park entry’s fountain ahead of the ball.

With the second half of 2025 ahead, it’s clear we have a lot to look forward to! Hopefully, you’ll get to experience some new and exciting Disney magic this year, whether it’s a stay at a new resort, a new cruise experience, or any other adventure.

The sunrise makes for a beautiful orange, yellow, and blue sky over Disney’s Beach Club Villas. A boat can be seen gliding over Crescent Lake in front of the resort, and the Spaceship Earth ball at EPCOT is visible in the distance behind.

Safe travels, everyone!
