Storytelling Come to Life: Why Stay at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel
I am passionate about traveling and exploring new locations and resorts that I haven’t experienced before. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel is one of the two DVC resorts available for guests in Anaheim, California, and it’s high on my list of places to stay. It’s one of the newest additions to our resort options, having opened its doors in September 2023.
Themed around the rich legacy of Disney storytelling, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel seamlessly blends this heritage with contemporary, modern design. Featuring unique pieces from Disney artists, vibrant fabrics, and meticulous attention to detail, the resort truly brings the magic of Disney to life, immersing guests in beloved stories in a fresh and enchanting way! The theme is evident from the moment you arrive, with the exterior of the resort setting the tone. Personally, I adore the lobby mural painted by Disney Animator Lorelay Bové, which beautifully incorporates references to both classic and newer Disney tales.
I’d be delighted to share more about the resort’s distinctive features, helping you determine if it’s the perfect fit for your next stay.
Let’s begin with the resort’s location. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel offers a convenient 15-minute stroll to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and just a 6-minute walk to Downtown Disney. This prime positioning makes it an ideal choice for accommodation.
Next, let’s talk about the rooms you can book through us!
The DVC rooms are beautifully designed with creative inspiration from animated classics such as The Jungle Book, The Princess and the Frog, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, Frozen, and Moana, allowing guests to experience their favorite stories in a fun new way.
Guests can book Duo Studios, Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas, and Grand Villas at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel through us. These rooms offer views of the Gardens, Street, Parking Area, or Pool area.
Duo Studios: These rooms accommodate two guests and feature a queen-size pull-down bed, a full bathroom, and a mini-refrigerator.
Deluxe Studios: These rooms accommodate four guests and feature a queen-size bed, a queen-size pull-down bed, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom.
Some Duo Studios and Deluxe Studios may include balconies, but this is not guaranteed. These two room types also have Garden Room options separate from the main tower, providing easy access to the pool.
One Bedroom Villas: These rooms accommodate five guests and feature a king-size bed in the primary bedroom, a living room with a queen-size pull-down bed and a bunk-size pull-down bed, a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, in-suite laundry, and a balcony.
Two Bedroom Villas: These rooms accommodate nine guests and feature a king-size bed in the primary bedroom, a second bedroom with either a queen bed and queen-size pull-down bed or two queen beds, a living room with a queen-size pull-down bed and a bunk-size pull-down bed, a full kitchen, three full bathrooms, in-suite laundry, and a balcony.
Grand Villas: These rooms accommodate 12 guests and feature a king-size bed in the primary bedroom, two additional bedrooms, each with two queen beds and a pull-down bunk-size bed, a full kitchen, three full bathrooms, one half-bathroom, in-suite laundry, and a balcony.
If you are traveling as a larger family, I recommend booking a Two Bedroom Villa or Grand Villa to ensure everyone stays together. While we are happy to help book multiple rooms simultaneously, we cannot guarantee that all rooms will be close together, as room assignments are made on the day of check-in.
You can’t forget about dining!
If you’re anything like me, you enjoy researching dining options at the resort where you’ll be staying. It helps to get an idea of the available dishes and their respective opening times. I’m passionate about food and love trying new cuisines, so I’m particularly excited to explore the dining choices at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Here are the three dining options I’m most excited to try.
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar: Open for lunch and dinner, this lively bar is inspired by the Jungle Cruise and legendary explorer Trader Sam, who was bitten by the bartending bug. He experimented with ingredients from the Amazon, Congo, Mystic Point, Polynesia, and every exotic locale in between. The dining room is filled with fun artifacts and unique designs. With so many delicious dishes and drinks to try, I believe I’ll need to visit multiple times during a future trip.
The Coffee House: I have a sweet tooth and love trying new baked goods and caffeinated drinks. Stopping by The Coffee House is the perfect way to start the day at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Whether you’re grabbing something to bring back to your room or for the walk to one of the parks, it’s a great choice.
Goofy’s Kitchen: It has a buffet open for breakfast and dinner. I love Character dining because it combines great food with the chance to easily meet and take photos with characters. At Goofy’s Kitchen, guests can meet Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, and Pluto! I believe a trip to Disney isn’t complete without having Mickey Mouse waffles at least once.
Guests can also find numerous dining options at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District.
On a hot day, the pool is the way to go!
A Disney trip isn’t complete without spending at least one day relaxing by the resort pool. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel offers two retro-themed pools and two waterslides that celebrate Disneyland Park’s imagination and legacy for guests to enjoy. I can’t wait to spend a whole day from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel pool, reading and swimming.
I haven’t had the opportunity to visit Disneyland in California yet, but staying there would truly be a dream come true for me. It would also allow me to check off another Disney location from my bucket list, as I’ve visited Walt Disney World several times and Disneyland Paris once. I’m eagerly looking forward to the day when I can cross off all six castle parks from my Disney list!
Have you considered adding The Villas at Disneyland Hotel to your list of DVC accommodations to stay at?
