Away We Go to Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows!
My name is Allison, and I have worked with David’s Vacation Club Rentals for just over five years. To say some of my ultimate Disney dreams have come true is an understatement. With 12 DVC Resorts in Walt Disney World to explore and learn about, I have toured and relished them all.
I have had the pleasure of staying at a few different DVC Resorts on my work trips. However, my upcoming trip in May might be the one I have been most excited about. With new things to indulge in, I cannot wait for all the new experiences our DVCR team will have! With only a month left before we make our way to Walt Disney World, Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows is calling my name!
That’s right! Some of my coworkers from the DVCR team and I will be staying at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows.
There are so many things I am excited about on this trip that I cannot seem to wrap my head around, but the one thing I am most excited about is finally getting to experience the hype over this resort and do some thorough exploring around the grounds.
With some delicious food options, recreational activities, and the specific location itself, there is a lot for me to experience.
One of the first things we will be experiencing at this resort is the ‘Ohana dinner, which I have heard only wonderful things! For an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy type of dining experience, there are some delicious items on the menu. From Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings to Pork Dumplings Tossed in Garlic-Chili Sauce, I will be living my best food life here.
In all honesty, I have not dined in any of these restaurants other than ‘Ohana for breakfast, which will make for some great new dining experiences for this upcoming trip. Having Kona Café and Trader Sam’s on our itinerary and knowing we will be popping into Captain Cook’s, I cannot wait to stay at this resort with the team for some new fun-filled dining action!
The recreational activities at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows are endless, just like any of the other DVC resorts! With this resort specifically, another thing I am excited about experiencing is the pools! This resort has two pools on the property, but you bet your bottom dollar that these pools take the cake for offering guests a tranquil oasis.
To start, the Oasis Pool is the leisure pool on the property. The pool is surrounded by rich gardens where you can relax and soak up the Florida sun, all while feeling like you are in the tropics.
The Lava Pool, the feature pool at this DVC resort, has a zero-depth entry, a massive volcano, a waterfall, and a rip-roaring 142-foot-long waterslide. This pool is exclusive to guests staying at this property, and I can’t wait to spend some time having fun in the sun with the team!
Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows is one of the more popular DVC resorts in Walt Disney World and has been a favorite destination for guests since 1971. This resort offers tranquil scenery for guests to find an oasis every time they walk onto this property, and I know I do!
When you arrive at the front entrance, before you walk through the front doors, you are greeted by beautiful trickling waterfalls, gorgeous flowers, and tall palm trees, creating a tropical welcome for everyone. This sets the tone for the rest of this resort, as the exotic ambiance is hard to beat anywhere else.
The specific location of Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows allows us to utilize the monorail and walking paths to the other DVC resorts and Magic Kingdom. Offering nighttime views from the sand court area of Cinderella’s Castle and Happily Ever After fireworks, this DVC resort has it all. I can’t wait to tell you all about the experiences I will have from this trip!
With the magic following me on my upcoming Walt Disney World visit, I think this one will be the best yet!
