Magic Moments: What are your favorite Disney memories?
As the Genie himself said in The Return of Jafar, “Today’s special moments are tomorrow’s special memories.” Having created endless memories in Walt Disney World with friends, family, and co-workers, they have become some moments I hold dear to my heart.
Looking back on your Disney trips, what are your most precious memories?
Was it some delicious food you tasted, a show you got to see, your favorite character to meet, seeing Cinderella Castle for the first time, a specific resort stay that sparked the magic on your trip, or something else that is special for you?
My first visit to Disney holds some happy and lovely moments spent with my family. My most recent trips to Disney have been spent with some amazing people having a blast, taking in everything Disney has to offer, and when I say everything, I mean everything.
When I first returned to Disney after ten years of not being there, memories started flooding back. The smells, the lights, the fireworks, the resorts, the parks, everything meant something. One of my first memories at Disney was with my family and seeing Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the first time. I remember feeling curious. I was curious about what it was, why it was so big, and why it felt so magical to me.
Before even walking into Magic Kingdom, I felt the magic. Everything to do with Disney has some sort of fabulousness, and seeing that resort for the first time sparked my interest. As soon as I was done gazing at the resort, I was quickly greeted by Cinderella Castle in all its glory.
I had waited so long to see this Castle, and the moment I did, I cried. I remember being so excited, and I could not move fast enough down Main Street to get to it. Once we made the walk down, my dad decided it would make it ten times more epic if he propped me up on his shoulders, and we walked through the Castle archway together. I hold this memory dear to my heart.
Fast forward to my most recent trips; the memories made and experiences I have had are some for the books. I have been able to indulge in some of the best food I have ever tasted, now having some go-to spots such as Raglan Road for the food and entertainment or Sanaa for the delicious bread service!
I have been able to experience new rides, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, that will forever have me in awe, as this ride is my absolute favorite. We rode this ride three times during our last trip and laughed hysterically while waving our arms and dancing in our seats!
I have seen some exciting entertainment at Disney, and during my last trip, the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot did not disappoint, getting right into it with some singing and dancing!
Every trip to Disney gets better and better, and if there is one thing I love about Disney, it is all the memories you make and the magical feelings you feel being there! When I think back, I smile and feel truly blessed to have experienced everything I have, and if I am being honest, “We did not realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun.” – Winnie the Pooh.
