Time for a Splash! What is your favorite DVC Pool?
If you have ever traveled to Walt Disney World, you know the daily temperature can become a little warm. Whether the sun is shining or there is some rain, the heat never fails to hang around.
The warm weather makes guests want to cool off, and for me, you can always find some time to cool down at the pool during a busy day at Disney Parks. How do you cool down is the question? With multiple options at some of the different DVC Resorts, I wanted to dive into some unique DVC Resort pools!
Having toured all the different DVC Resorts and stayed at a few myself, Disney has never failed to put thought into every detail, and with so many options, I decided I would pick my top four favourite DVC pools.
Guests can feel like they are basking in a warm spring or zoom down on a Keister Coaster and splash into the water. Hang out in an oasis while animals roam nearby or float along a lazy river.
If you have never stayed at Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Copper Creek Springs Pool is top-notch! Guests are surrounded by nature with tall trees and beautiful pathways, and as soon as you decide to take a break by the pool, the water will make you feel like you are in a warm spring.
This pool has a 67-foot-long waterslide built into the rocks, immersing guests in the American Northwest. You can also check out the powerful geyser nearby, which will erupt, giving guests something mesmerizing to look at!
With the excitement around every twist and turn, Luna Park Pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is one guests will not forget! The pool is a carnival explosion, with bright colors, little statues, and fun artwork all around you! The Luna Park Pool features the 200-foot-long Keister Coaster waterslide, where all ages can enjoy a fun ride!
The Luna Park Pool also has quite a nice snack and beverage spot for guests that fits right into the theme of this resort. Leaping Horse Libations is a terrific addition for guests to visit while hanging out at the pool.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, Jambo House Uzima Springs Pool is right beside the savanna at this resort! You can see some of the different animals from afar while you can catch a glimpse of the flamingos close by.
The Uzima Springs pool is a larger pool that has a zero-depth entry. It is 11,000 square feet and holds 234,980 gallons of water. I love this pool, and it always reminds me of the classic watering hole where our old friend Pumbaa liked to hang out. It makes for an enjoyable spot to cool down on a sweltering day.
Now, one of my absolute favorite pools is Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, as it is such a unique pool for guests to have some fun at the resort.
Stormalong Bay has 3 acres of water activities for everyone to enjoy. The slide for this pool is a life-sized shipwreck replica where guests can feel like they are escaping pirates and sliding onto a sandy beach.
With a sand bottom and a lazy river for guests to float along, this pool has all types of experiences. If you are looking for something exciting or something at a slower pace, you can find it all here.
On my last visit to this resort, I did notice a fun little pool area for children, where they can sit at the back of the Shipwreck in the Shipwreck Pool, even featuring their own little waterslide!
On any day, I feel like the pools at the Disney DVC Resorts are helpful for guests to cool down while still being surrounded by Disney touches. You can have fun, make new friends, and make memories visiting the pools; I know I have. Disney also usually has some delicious snacks and beverages close by, and if I am honest, I love to indulge in them.
If you can, take time for yourself during your trip and relax by the pool! What is your favorite DVC pool?
