2012 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival in Full Swing

The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is one of my favorite events at Walt Disney World. I didn’t think I’d get a chance to see it this year, but I got lucky and am going to catch the last few days of the event. The Festival, in its 19th year, is in full swing right now and will continue through May 20, 2012.

A couple highlights I’m looking forward to are the Flower Power concert with Micky Dolenz, who took over after the passing of Davy Jones earlier this spring and Bambi’s Butterfly Garden, which is said to be three times the size of last year. If you ask me though, the stars of the show are always the topiaries. There are literally dozens of them scattered about the park, with Sorcerer Mickey greeting guests at the front entrance. Then, of course, there are the flowers! Epcot is just gorgeous at this time of year. What are your favorite Festival activities?
